- Defraggler - This is a great defrag tool, plus it’s free!
- Distrowatch - Awesome collection of pretty much all linux distros out there.
- Donation Coder - These guys make some great software, and it’s free although I recommend donating something to help out. Great forums too.
- freshmeat - Great place to find Open Source projects.
- NirSoft - Some great utilities here, an especially good registry editor. Check ‘em out!
- Notepad++ - The best text editor out there for Windows.
- Open Source CMS - Great site to try before you buy so to speak, wonderful way to check out lots of CMS packages.
- Pendrivelinux - This is an awesome site all about running many flavors of Linux on USB drives, both memory sticks and portable hard drives.
- Portable Apps - Loads of apps that run right off your thumb drive, no install necessary.
- Simple Machines - These are some kickin’ forums, and in fact, the forums we use here.
- Splunk - Quite possible the best logging software ever.
- Sunfreeware - An awesome site with Solaris packages of almost any freeware, open source stuff you want, including dependencies, etc.
- Vim - The best text editor from nix is now on Windows.
- WordPress - This is a great blogging package, and in fact it powers this site.
